Senior Test Automation Engineer (Java)

About the role

EPAM Singapore is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong Java expertise to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web and API applications. You will join a high‑performing team, contribute to a scalable automation framework, and help ensure high‑quality releases in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review user stories and define both manual and automated test coverage.
• Build and maintain Selenium WebDriver automation scripts using Java.
• Evolve a scalable automation framework with maintainable design patterns.
• Develop API automation using REST Assured, Karate, or equivalent tools.
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins or other CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test failures, reduce flakiness, and improve execution speed.
• Manage defects and validation workflow in JIRA or similar tools.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams during Agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver automation in Java.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented design and Java programming.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with API testing and REST fundamentals.
• Familiarity with test runners such as JUnit or TestNG.
• Experience with version control (Git) and build tools (Maven or Gradle).
• Exposure to CI/CD integration, preferably Jenkins.
• Understanding of microservices testing and troubleshooting.
