Senior UI Developer – FX Options Trading (Vice President)

About the role

We are looking for a senior front‑end engineer to lead the design and development of a next‑generation electronic FX Options trading platform. The role sits in a high‑visibility, multi‑year greenfield program and works closely with quants, traders and other engineers to deliver real‑time, data‑intensive user interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build core UI components for RFQ workflows, streaming pricing displays, volatility surfaces and structured product workbenches.
• Implement real‑time data handling using REST, WebSockets and middleware such as Solace, Kafka or TIBCO.
• Collaborate with global teams of developers, quant analysts and traders to translate complex business requirements into robust UI solutions.
• Drive performance, scalability and resilience of web applications through profiling, telemetry and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in testing, automation and code quality.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience building complex, high‑performance web applications.
• Passion for solving challenging problems in the financial trading domain.
• Ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment and communicate technical ideas clearly.

Required skills

• React and TypeScript (or comparable experience with Angular or Vue.js).
• REST APIs, WebSockets, and middleware technologies (Solace, Kafka, TIBCO).
• Modern software engineering practices: CI/CD, automated testing, performance profiling, telemetry.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
• Experience with desktop container frameworks such as OpenFin.
• Back‑end knowledge in Java, C#/.NET or Python.
• Containerization and orchestration concepts, especially Kubernetes.
