Senior/Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

The Senior/Assistant Finance Manager will support the Finance Business Partner at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, handling forecasting, budgeting, analysis and reporting. The role oversees financial closure, annual audited statements, Endowment Fund reporting and donor reporting in collaboration with the Advancement Office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare periodic financial and management reports.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide audit schedules, samples and documentation.
• Analyse Fund Centre reports, identify irregularities and coordinate with the FP&A team.
• Produce ad‑hoc fund activity reports for donors.
• Coordinate revised budget estimates from stakeholders and develop the annual operating budget.
• Monitor budget‑to‑actual results, perform variance analysis and highlight financial risks or opportunities.
• Provide guidance on budgetary control and expenditure management.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial and management reporting processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or professional accounting qualification.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and Financial Reporting Standards.
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities, especially in compliance.
• Numerically inclined with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment and work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (including V‑lookup, Pivot Tables).
• SAP financial system (preferred).
