Senior/Staff Nurse – Infection Control

About the role

JurongHealth Campus is seeking a Senior/Staff Nurse specialized in Infection Control to lead and support hospital‑wide initiatives that safeguard patients and staff. The role involves coordinating infection prevention programs, responding to outbreaks, and promoting best practices across all clinical areas.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate, implement and evaluate the campus infection control programme.
• Collaborate with Nurse Clinicians and Senior Nurse Managers to develop unit‑level plans that meet infection control policies.
• Conduct daily ward rounds to ensure compliance with infection control protocols and correct non‑conforming practices.
• Assist in investigating infection outbreaks and manage reporting of healthcare‑associated infections.
• Support outbreak management at hospital, campus and national levels.
• Plan and evaluate infection control audits, training programmes and pandemic preparedness exercises.
• Contribute to research, present findings at conferences and publish papers on infection control.
• Orient and train new nursing staff and other personnel assigned to the department.

Required profile

• Diploma in Nursing or State Registered Nurse Certificate.
• Relevant Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in infection control is preferred for senior‑staff level.
