Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician will execute production, service, repair, installation and commissioning tasks for customer‑supplied equipment, ensuring compliance with ISO procedures and thorough documentation.

This role involves field construction, sea trials, and close coordination with customers to clarify installation requirements and manage project resources.

Key responsibilities

• Execute production, service, repair, installation, FAT, field construction, plant commissioning, sea trials and inspection tasks.
• Maintain project documentation and apply ISO‑compliant procedures such as Job Safety Analysis, Work Method Statement and Permit to Work.
• Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials for each project.
• Engage with customers to clarify installation requirements, including hot work, welding, carpentry and cable running.
• Escalate additional customer requirements to management promptly.
• Verify completed work against acceptance criteria in technical and installation manuals.
• Support preparation of design drawings and documentation to meet customer specifications.
• Contribute to development of a field support process across all product lines.
• Detect and document quality issues related to products or services.
• Oversee proper handling and usage of inspection, measuring and testing equipment as equipment owner.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• ITE or Diploma in Electronics, Communications, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience; candidates with less experience but strong potential are considered.
• Strong emergency response mindset and willingness to work shifts.
• Good customer liaison skills.

Required skills

• Electronics servicing, installation and inspection.
• Familiarity with ISO documentation practices: Job Safety Analysis, Work Method Statement, Permit to Work.
• Use of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.
• Hot work procedures including welding, carpentry and cable running.
