Site Engineer – Building Projects

About the role

The Site Engineer (Building) will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure smooth progress of construction activities, overseeing site works and manpower coordination. This position plays a key role in maintaining quality standards, safety practices, and schedule adherence on building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review the master construction programme and develop catch‑up plans when needed.
• Supervise engineers and foremen, ensuring compliance with quality procedures and workmanship standards.
• Inspect subcontractor work for quality and quantity, and resolve drawing discrepancies with the technical team.
• Prepare detailed method statements, work instructions, and site‑specific programmes.
• Coordinate with sub‑contractors, vendors, and internal departments to manage manpower, material, and equipment requirements.
• Liaise with consultants on structural work submissions and technical documentation.
• Plan site activities, forecast resource needs, and control usage and wastage.
• Enforce safety practices and identify potential schedule risks, recommending corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience on building construction projects.
