Site Engineer – Building Projects

About the role

The Site Engineer (Building) will support the Project Manager in overseeing daily site activities, ensuring that construction progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and update the master construction programme and prepare catch‑up programmes when needed.
• Supervise engineers and foremen, ensuring compliance with quality procedures and workmanship standards.
• Check the quality and quantity of subcontractor work.
• Prepare detailed site programmes, method statements and work instructions.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues in coordination with the technical team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and internal departments, managing manpower, material and equipment demands.
• Liaise with consultants on structural work submissions.
• Plan site works, forecast resources and control material and equipment usage.
• Enforce safety practices on site and identify schedule‑impacting problems, proposing corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on building construction projects.
