Software Developer

About the role

Capgemini is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain application features across Angular front‑end, Java Spring Boot back‑end and MySQL database. The role leverages AI‑assisted tools to improve efficiency, code quality, and testing coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Build user interfaces, backend APIs, business logic, database schemas and queries.
• Develop and execute unit tests for both front‑end and back‑end modules.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with OWASP secure coding practices.
• Support build, packaging, deployment, and troubleshooting across development, testing and production environments.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system design and API specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in agile delivery cycles and manage tech projects with external ICT partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a software developer or engineer, preferably in Agile projects.
• Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and familiarity with secure coding standards.

• Programming languages: Java, Python.Net.
• Front‑end frameworks: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular, React.
• Back‑end framework: Spring Boot.
• Database: MySQL.
• CI/CD pipelines: Gitlab CI or similar.
