Software Engineer – Anti‑Scam Products

About the role

GovTech’s Anti‑Scam Products team is looking for a Software Engineer to help build technology that detects, disrupts and deters scams at scale. You will work on data‑intensive pipelines, AI/ML models and front‑end tools that empower enforcement agencies and protect citizens.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement proof‑of‑concepts and production features across multiple system components.
• Contribute to system architecture, making trade‑offs between speed, quality and maintainability.
• Write, review and test production‑grade code, expanding automated test coverage.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud deployments on AWS and ensure observability (logging, metrics, SLI/SLO).
• Participate in incident triage, escalation and resolution.
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools while applying the same quality standards to generated code.

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on delivering value.
• Experience building high‑scale, low‑latency APIs and working with data‑intensive frameworks.
• Ability to make informed decisions on reuse versus new development.
