Software Engineer – Google Pay Mobile Development

About the role

Google Pay is expanding its mobile shopping experience and is looking for a Software Engineer to build cross‑platform features for Android and iOS users. You will join the Commerce team, collaborating with product, UX and AI specialists to deliver seamless, secure checkout flows powered by the latest AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Flutter (Dart) codebase that delivers consistent shopping experiences on Android and iOS.
• Partner with Product Managers and UX leads to design and implement new user‑facing features.
• Integrate AI/ML models, including Large Language Model prompts, into the client application in collaboration with ARML teams.
• Conduct AI evaluations and performance testing for conversational and generative AI components.
• Write clean, efficient code and contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least one year of software development experience in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
• Minimum one year of experience with Android application development and data structures & algorithms.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and willingness to work across the full stack.
