Software Engineer II – Java, Spring & AWS

About the role

Join JPMorgan Chase’s Corporate & Investment Bank Real‑Time Payments team as a Software Engineer II. You will work on the RTP product, delivering high‑quality features across the full software development lifecycle in a mission‑critical, real‑time environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute design, development, and technical troubleshooting of standard software solutions.
• Write secure, high‑quality code in at least one programming language with limited guidance.
• Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI coding‑assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
• Design and develop components while considering upstream and downstream system impacts.
• Apply SDLC toolchain capabilities, including AI‑assisted automation, to enhance value.
• Perform technical troubleshooting of basic‑complexity issues.
• Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
• Continuously learn system processes, methodologies, and secure coding practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of formal software engineering experience or relevant certification.
• Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database query languages.
• Experience with enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development tools and a solid understanding of responsible AI use.
• Knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle.
