Software Engineer III – Google Pay & Wallet

About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer III to join the Google Pay and Wallet team. You will help design, develop, and maintain the end‑to‑end payment journey for millions of users worldwide, working across a global, cross‑functional team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and launch features for Google Pay and Wallet services.
• Maintain and improve the full‑stack solution that supports global business payment flows.
• Own the service lifecycle, including productionisation, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Collaborate with product, trust, safety, risk, marketing, design and content teams across the US, India and Singapore.
• Align development work with long‑term Google Pay strategy and roadmap.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience in a full‑stack environment (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• Experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products and designing large‑scale applications.
• Ability to work independently, drive projects from concept to completion, and collaborate with tech leads and product managers.
