About the role

Join JPMorgan Chase's Asset Wealth Management team as a Software Engineer III focused on Java development. You will work within an agile environment to design, build, and maintain market‑leading technology solutions that are secure, stable, and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot high‑quality production code using Java and related technologies.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Leverage enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted coding tools to improve code quality, speed, and documentation.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met.
• Gather, analyze, and visualize large data sets to drive continuous improvement of software systems.
• Identify hidden problems in code and data, applying insights to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Write and maintain TDD/BDD test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience working in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database query languages.
• Proven ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI‑generated code outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use and data sensitivity considerations in engineering workflows.
