About the role
Google is building a new Safe Coding team in Singapore to make secure coding effortless for all developers. As a Software Engineer you will help establish the engineering culture, design core security foundations, and deliver solutions that protect Google products at scale.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software that mitigates the biggest risks in software security.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create developer‑focused security platforms and workflows.
- Contribute to the technical foundation of Google’s flagship products, including supply‑chain security and vulnerability management.
- Help launch and grow the Singapore hub by establishing best practices and partnerships.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
- Preferred: experience with developer ecosystems, package managers, build systems, and open‑source contributions.
