Solution Architect (Core Banking)

About the role

OCBC is looking for a Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of core banking capabilities. You will ensure that architecture principles are followed while shaping scalable, secure, and high‑performance banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end architectural design and conduct solution design reviews for core banking initiatives.
• Define architectural governance and guide issue resolution across projects.
• Design core banking solutions with focus on scalability, security, performance and system integration.
• Lead modernization and migration efforts, including current‑state assessment, target architecture, migration strategy, data conversion and coexistence design.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers and project managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Produce detailed micro‑services designs using domain‑driven design, bounded contexts and appropriate service granularity.
• Work hands‑on with engineering teams, advising on complex coding challenges and ensuring seamless implementation.
• Manage design conflicts by applying architecture guidelines and principles.

• Strong understanding of technology trends and ability to anticipate future needs.
• Proven experience in core banking solution design and migration projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams.
