Solution Architect

About the role

Hitachi Rail Singapore is looking for a Solution Architect (Ref.No. R1013112) to lead the design and delivery of end‑to‑end technology solutions for asset management and predictive maintenance. The role combines deep technical expertise across applications, data, platforms and infrastructure with strong leadership to ensure scalable, secure and high‑performance architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solution architecture across applications, data platforms, infrastructure and cybersecurity.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, high‑performance technical solutions.
• Define application and data architectures, integrating analytics and predictive models.
• Establish IT infrastructure strategy (cloud, on‑prem, hybrid) ensuring scalability, availability and cost efficiency.
• Work with cyber‑security experts to embed IAM, data protection and secure design principles.
• Design system integration using APIs, data pipelines and interoperability frameworks.
• Enable data and analytics capabilities for predictive and data‑driven use cases.
• Provide technical leadership across the full lifecycle (design, build, deploy, operate).
• Ensure governance and compliance with architecture standards, security and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders as a trusted advisor on technology and solution strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in software development and solution architecture.
• Proven track record designing and delivering scalable technology solutions.
• Strong experience across application, data platform and IT infrastructure layers.
• Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
