Staff Physician / Resident Physician

About the role

The Hospital is seeking a qualified Staff Physician/Resident Physician to deliver high‑standard medical care, participate in teaching activities, and contribute to research and committee work. The role spans community hospital, nursing home, home‑care, and outpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily clinical rounds, review patient conditions, and order investigations.
• Assess new admissions, perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and family interviews.
• Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, venepuncture, IV line insertion, and catheterisation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient‑care conferences and discharge planning.
• Respond to emergencies, perform on‑call duties, and handle incident reviews as directed.
• Provide geriatric assessments and ongoing care in nursing homes and home‑care settings.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions in outpatient clinics and promote preventive health initiatives.
• Engage in teaching, training sessions, and optional research under senior supervision.

Required profile

• Medical degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council.
• Post‑graduate training appropriate for a resident or staff physician.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
