Technical Specialist - Facilities Mechanical

About the role

The Facilities Mechanical Technical Specialist supports the maintenance and engineering of mechanical machinery and infrastructure on‑site. Working under the guidance of the Facilities organization, the specialist ensures compliance with Micron’s EHS, safety, and quality standards while leveraging AI tools to improve system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance work orders, generate and close PM/CM tickets.
• Coordinate with vendors, acquire permits, and manage progressive replacement regimes.
• Maintain and update documentation such as SOPs, risk assessments, energy isolation procedures, and pre‑task plans.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis using 8D reports and 5‑Whys, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Supervise outsourced contract service providers to ensure work meets defined scope and requirements.
• Utilize maintenance management software to track equipment history, spare‑part inventory, and project progress.
• Provide feedback on design and specifications for new capital equipment and oversee site installation milestones.

Required profile

• Experience with mechanical systems maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of EHS, safety protocols, and compliance documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives.
