User Experience Designer

About the role

GovTech’s Developer Productivity and Services team is looking for a User Experience Designer to turn complex technical workflows into clear, intuitive solutions that serve Singapore’s public sector. You will work closely with product managers, engineers and stakeholders to shape user‑centric digital products that support the nation’s Smart Nation vision.

Key responsibilities

• Distill complex, technical processes into accessible, user‑friendly designs.
• Consult with stakeholders and end‑users to gather deep insights and champion the user perspective throughout the product lifecycle.
• Drive end‑to‑end design execution, producing wireframes, interactive prototypes and high‑fidelity mockups.
• Plan and conduct user research activities such as usability testing, contextual inquiries, interviews and surveys.
• Analyse research findings and feedback to propose feasible, data‑driven design improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure design feasibility and present rationale to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in UX or product design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating mastery of the User‑Centered Design process, including research, prototyping and visual design.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work inclusively with cross‑functional partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Ability to leverage research data to support design decisions.
