About the role

The Youth Specialist provides close supervision and accountability for residents in the Boys' Town Residential Services shelter, ensuring their well‑being and supporting daily programmes for young people aged 10 to 21.

Key responsibilities

Provide close supervision and ensure residents’ well‑being during duty hours.
Maintain discipline in line with the daily programme and motivate participation in activities.
Monitor health of sick residents and report regularly.
Complete administrative duties such as Duty Officer reports and prepare the Operations Centre for the next shift.
Collaborate with senior management to uphold standards and support the model of care.

Required profile

Minimum education: O‑Level, Nitec or Diploma.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Emotional maturity and genuine passion for working with young people.
Proactive attitude in group discussions to enhance resident services.
