Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to support and execute end‑to‑end finance processes within SAP. The role focuses on financial accounting, controlling, accounts payable/receivable, asset accounting, general ledger, tax reporting and planning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in SAP R/3 FICO rollout activities in Singapore, covering requirement gathering, fit‑gap analysis, testing, training, cut‑over and hyper‑care.
• Monitor receivables and collections, generate monthly statements, issue credit notes and reconcile customer accounts.
• Process vendor invoices and staff expense claims, ensuring timely booking and payment.
• Maintain the company’s chart of accounts, ensure compliance with the latest accounting standards, and support internal controls.
• Oversee controlling‑related SAP activities such as cost‑center maintenance, internal order management, overhead allocation and planning.
• Drive month‑end and planning cycles, review postings, allocations and reporting outputs for accuracy.
• Act as the local controlling key user, providing first‑line support for SAP queries and reporting issues.
• Prepare internal and monthly closing reports, maintain KPI trackers and assist external auditors.
• Support GST, corporate tax filings and ad‑hoc tax assignments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance operations covering AR, AP and GL/reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Ability to work under pressure and stay agile.
• Experience with SAP is advantageous.
