Assistant/Deputy Director – International Department (1‑Year Contract)

About the role

You will support the International Department in monitoring and analysing regional and global monetary and financial developments. Working with a dynamic team, you will help shape Singapore’s stance on key multilateral platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse regional and international monetary and financial trends.
• Develop and advocate MAS positions at multilateral fora such as ASEAN, EMEAP, G20, IMF, FSB, BIS and other standard‑setting bodies.
• Advance bilateral cooperation and relations with foreign counterparts of MAS.
• Participate, where required, in financial‑services free‑trade‑agreement negotiations.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and respond to emerging developments.

Required profile

• Experience in international relations, regulatory policy or supervisory functions is an advantage.
• Academic background in Economics, Political Science or International Relations is desirable.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
• Resilient, proactive, able to multi‑task and adapt quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with good networking and organisational capabilities.
• Must be a Singapore citizen.
