Business Development Director – Modern Workplace

About the role

SoftwareOne is seeking a Business Development Director to lead the growth of its Modern Workplace portfolio. You will work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to translate business challenges into modern workplace solutions that deliver measurable value.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and close new Modern Workplace opportunities across new and existing customers.
• Build trusted relationships with business and technology stakeholders, including executive decision‑makers.
• Partner with Account Managers and solution teams to create account strategies and transformation roadmaps.
• Translate customer challenges into commercially viable service and solution offerings.
• Position advisory, professional and managed services that support workplace modernization, productivity, collaboration and security.
• Lead customer engagements, proposals, negotiations and contracting activities through to successful closure.

Required profile

• Strong experience in consultative B2B sales, business development or solution selling within cloud, digital workplace or technology services.
• Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at technical, operational and executive levels.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to manage complex sales opportunities and negotiate successful outcomes.
