Chemistry Technician – Sample Analysis & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a Chemistry Technician to join our laboratory in Tuas Loop, Singapore. The role involves testing, sample preparation, and delivering accurate test reports for water and field samples.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze water and field samples for physical and chemical parameters.
• Operate, maintain and calibrate equipment such as Ion Chromatography, Total Nitrogen (TN) and Total Carbon (TC) analyzers, and Flow Injection Analysis systems.
• Prepare reagents and standard solutions, ensuring proper standardisation.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests according to standard methods.
• Interpret data, enter results and generate test reports for clients.
• Handle and store chemicals in accordance with MSDS guidelines.
• Coordinate with team members to meet the planned schedule.
• Develop and validate methods when required.
• Participate in proficiency testing and external audits.
• Support additional activities to achieve departmental targets and maintain compliance with quality and HSE standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar laboratory role.
• Ability to work under pressure, in teams and adapt to flexible day/night shifts.
• Good English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Knowledge of safe operation of testing equipment in an independent chemistry or consultancy laboratory.
