Consultant – Private Capital Solutions

About the role

As a Consultant in Private Capital Solutions, you will be the first point of contact for MSCI’s institutional clients, translating complex private‑markets requirements into practical, value‑adding solutions. Working closely with Sales and Client Coverage, you will lead discovery sessions, design tailored demonstrations, and support proof‑of‑concept initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior investment and operational stakeholders across asset owners, pension funds, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, consultants, fund administrators and private‑market managers.
• Provide guidance on performance measurement, valuation methodologies, benchmarking, portfolio construction, regulatory reporting and emerging industry trends.
• Own the end‑to‑end client relationship, driving retention, satisfaction and growth across the coverage book.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on MSCI products and methodologies, handling detailed client inquiries on valuation, risk sensitivity, distributional risk measures and stress testing.
• Deliver client education, product training and workshops to deepen platform adoption.
• Develop detailed account plans, engage stakeholders at all levels and identify up‑selling and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development to align solutions with client needs and product roadmap.
• Travel regularly to client sites within the coverage region.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of private‑markets and institutional investment processes.
• Ability to simplify and communicate complex investment and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience managing full client lifecycles and building senior‑level relationships.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable client value.
• Willingness to travel frequently to client locations.
