Cyber Intelligence Analyst (Red Team)

About the role

The Internal Security Department (ISD) is seeking a Cyber Intelligence Analyst to join its Red Team. You will work on identifying and attributing cyber threats that impact Singapore’s national security, providing actionable intelligence to protect the nation’s cyberspace.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cyber intelligence operations to detect, analyse and attribute cyber threats.
• Research offensive cyber techniques, tools and exploits used by adversaries.
• Develop custom tools and scripts to support investigations and analytical processes.

Required profile

• Strong passion for cybersecurity, technical research and/or software development.
• Ability to think critically and laterally to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Willingness to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Open to candidates with no prior professional experience; Singapore citizenship required.

Required skills

• Experience in Capture‑The‑Flag competitions.
• Familiarity with penetration‑testing methodologies.
• Relevant certifications such as GPEN, GXPN, OSCP, OSCE (preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with tools like Kali Linux, Nmap, IDA Pro and x64 debuggers.
• Programming/scripting proficiency in languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, PHP, BASH, JavaScript, PowerShell, Go.
