Cyber Security Defensive Operation Analyst

About the role

Join the Global Cyber Security team of Mercedes‑Benz as a Defensive Operation Analyst on a 1‑year renewable contract based in Singapore. You will work closely with the Cyber Intelligence and Response Centre (CIRC) and global teams to protect one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and triage security alerts from Mercedes‑Benz log sources, assess impact and drive rapid incident containment and remediation.
• Investigate security threats, identify risk gaps and evaluate organisational impact through deep technical analysis of attack vectors and threat intelligence.
• Collaborate with the CIRC threat intelligence team to enhance contextual analysis and support threat hunting, especially around OSINT Indicators of Compromise (IoCs).
• Lead communications with end users and stakeholders, providing timely updates during incident response, remediation and recovery.
• Provide weekend duty analyst support as part of a global 24/7 operations roster.
• Coordinate and implement security projects assigned by the Head of Global Defensive Operations, acting as the local point of contact.
• Mentor junior team members in technical skills and incident‑management best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, Networking, Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or GCIH are a plus.
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong emotional intelligence, teamwork and composure under pressure.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid Singapore work visa.

Required skills

• Experience with forensic tools and incident‑response methodologies.
• Knowledge of security standards and network security technologies.
• Proficiency with operating systems and analytical frameworks such as the Cyber Kill Chain.
• Familiarity with OSINT techniques and Indicators of Compromise.
• Working knowledge of Splunk (beneficial).
