Cybersecurity Engineer – IT Security Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join a leading Asia‑Pacific organization. The role involves providing security consultancy throughout the system lifecycle, from implementation to ongoing maintenance, and ensuring that security operations align with evolving threats and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct threat and risk assessments across the system lifecycle.
• Configure security settings, apply patches, and upgrade security solutions.
• Lead security assessments, including configuration reviews, vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remediate risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Maintain enterprise security infrastructure and monitor security posture.
• Participate in security operations to ensure compliance with information security policies and standards.

Required profile

• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISA, GSEC, CISSP) are a plus.
• Experience in end‑user device management, network security, secure design and incident response.
• Background in security consultancy, security operations or an information security office.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and Agile methodologies, including use of documentation and ticketing tools.
• Hands‑on experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of cloud security tools and configuration for AWS and Azure.
• Understanding of ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
