Data Engineer

About the role

Temus, a Temasek‑backed consulting firm, is looking for a Data Engineer to design, build and operate large‑scale enterprise data pipelines that support reporting, automated systems and AI/ML initiatives for public and private sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver end‑to‑end data pipelines on cloud platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate client requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Support thought‑leadership initiatives and help scale data‑engineering deployments across projects.
• Partner with ecosystem vendors to adopt a cloud‑first strategy that meets public‑sector needs.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience designing, building and operationalising batch or streaming data solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks and Snowflake, including setup, configuration and data onboarding.
• Proficiency in Python or .Net (C#) and strong SQL expertise.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, RDS, Glue and Redshift.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Tableau Server (advantage), serverless computing, CI/CD, containerisation, IaC and automated testing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and within large, unstructured teams.
