Demi Chef – Executive Lounge

About the role

The Executive Lounge at Marriott International is seeking a motivated Demi Chef to support daily food preparation and service. You will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver high‑quality dishes while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold foods and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures; thaw frozen items safely.
• Maintain food logs, monitor portion sizes, garnish dishes and ensure overall food quality.
• Communicate with chefs and service staff about menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food for daily specials.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
• Follow all company, safety and security policies; report maintenance issues and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
