Design Manager – Architecture for Hyperscale Data Centers

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead architectural design for large‑scale hyperscale data centre projects across Singapore and the APAC region. You will shape efficient, modular and compliant data centre solutions, working closely with internal teams and external consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design from feasibility through construction support for mission‑critical data centre developments.
• Develop design strategies that meet hyperscale requirements such as scalability, modularity and operational efficiency.
• Manage external architectural consultants, ensuring design quality, consistency and alignment with project timelines.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and documentation for compliance with internal standards, international best practices and local regulations.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, MEP and development teams to deliver fully integrated design solutions.
• Lead design discussions with regulatory authorities (BCA, URA, SCDF) and manage approval submissions.
• Support tendering activities, evaluate contractor bids and oversee contractor‑led detailed design.
• Provide on‑site construction support, resolve design issues and drive value engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 3 + years of architectural design and design‑management experience in Singapore or Southeast Asia.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale developments, preferably data centres or other mission‑critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore building codes, approval processes and international design standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage consultants and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
