Director of Interior Design – Luxury Hotel Development

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Interior Design to lead the interior design programme for a flagship luxury hotel expansion in Singapore. You will own the design standard from concept through opening, overseeing a multidisciplinary team and ensuring every detail aligns with brand, code, and guest experience expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of design managers across CAPEX renovations, conversions and new‑build interiors.
• Write and manage RFPs and consultant contracts, setting clear expectations.
• Review FF&E, artwork and OS&E submittals against brand standards and regulatory codes, and provide corrective feedback.
• Collaborate with Operations to define the guest experience and defend design decisions during procurement negotiations.
• Mentor consultants through the approvals process and maintain design integrity across all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in hospitality interior design, including senior leadership roles.
• Background as a Director or Studio Director in a top‑tier hospitality design practice, or equivalent client‑side experience with luxury resorts or large mixed‑use projects.
• Proven ability to sketch, read detailed drawings and present to senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to relocate to Singapore.
• Not a pure concept designer and not seeking personal branding on projects.

• Sketching and drawing interpretation.
