Dog Trainer – Pre‑School & Training Classes

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and qualified Dog Trainer to join our team, combining responsibilities in our dog pre‑school/daycare and in private or group training classes. The role is split roughly 60 % pre‑school management and 40 % training instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the dog pre‑school program, ensuring a safe, clean and nurturing environment.
• Provide daily care: feeding, watering, medication administration, walks and potty breaks.
• Maintain hygiene of facilities and supervise playgroups.
• Record daily activities, behavior observations and training progress for each dog.
• Communicate updates to dog owners and handle front‑desk duties such as registrations and inquiries.
• Develop and deliver customized, positive‑reinforcement training plans for individual and group sessions.
• Conduct client consultations to identify behavioral goals and set realistic expectations.
• Lead engaging training classes, offering clear instruction and feedback to owners.
• Assist with pre‑school duties or other operational tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Passionate about canine welfare and behavior.
• Experience working in a dog daycare or pre‑school setting.
• Proven ability to conduct reward‑based training for dogs of various ages and skill levels.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
• Ability to keep accurate records and manage basic administrative tasks.
