Equipment Engineer – 200mm CVD

About the role

GlobalFoundries is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support 200mm CVD tools in its semiconductor fab. The role involves ensuring equipment readiness, performing maintenance, and driving continuous improvement to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support equipment readiness as an individual contributor or manager.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Execute maintenance and tool support activities to minimize downtime.
• Upgrade equipment and implement improvement plans and projects.
• Analyze and monitor technical charts to identify performance trends.
• Follow safety practices and protect tools, equipment, and property.
• Collaborate on additional projects and assignments as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in equipment engineering, preferably in wafer‑fab manufacturing or electronics.
• Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve technical problems.
• Willingness to work normal or swing shifts.
