Equipment Engineer – Precision Mechatronics

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to lead the design, build, commissioning and optimisation of precision mechatronic systems in a manufacturing environment. The role is highly hands‑on and offers ownership from concept through to reliable production equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical fixtures, tooling and precision mechatronic assemblies for manufacturing applications.
• Create CAD designs that balance performance, manufacturability, reliability and maintainability.
• Support equipment assembly, installation, commissioning, calibration and performance optimisation.
• Evaluate equipment performance through testing and data analysis, identifying improvements in accuracy, yield and availability.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and system‑level issues using structured troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance long‑term reliability.
• Produce and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials and related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and vendors to meet technical and delivery requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production equipment.
• Hands‑on experience with assembly, testing, calibration, commissioning or troubleshooting of complex mechatronic equipment.
• Master’s degree is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (preferably Siemens NX).
• Knowledge of precision mechanical design, dimensional tolerancing and mechanical integration.
• Experience with automation systems, PLC, MCU, Python or LabVIEW programming.
• Understanding of electrical components such as sensors, actuators, cabling and wiring.
• Experience in motion‑system calibration, precision alignment and optical‑system alignment.
