Field Service Equipment Engineer (Shift Work)

About the role

The Field Service Equipment Engineer is responsible for delivering high‑quality repair, preventive maintenance, installation and relocation services for customer equipment on‑site. The role involves direct interaction with customers, ensuring minimal downtime and professional representation of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Install and relocate equipment at customer sites, performing start‑up, cut‑over and check‑out activities.
• Provide warranty tool support or paid service for out‑of‑warranty tools through on‑site preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate service actions with customers to reduce system interruptions.
• Apply troubleshooting techniques, conduct diagnostic procedures, assess severity of malfunctions and determine corrective actions.
• Replace defective units, components or parts as required.
• Implement field modifications or updates from Engineering Change Orders, including removal and installation of assemblies and subsystems.
• Maintain accurate logs, service records, part usage documentation and diagnostic updates.
• Represent the company professionally and develop good customer relations during service contracts.
• Keep company‑assigned equipment (computer, tool kit, diagnostic test equipment, spare parts) in good working condition.
