Financial Controller – Private Equity

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead finance and controllership across complex global structures within a leading private equity firm. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and efficient treasury management for a diversified international portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, management accounts and statutory compliance across regional entities.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including consolidation activities.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit matters.
• Support fund‑related finance activities such as capital movements, distributions and investment transactions.
• Lead treasury and cash‑management functions, maintaining banking relationships and liquidity planning.
• Partner with legal, tax, compliance and investment teams on cross‑functional initiatives and regulatory matters.
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, controls, systems and reporting capabilities.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• 8+ years of experience in controllership, fund finance, accounting or finance leadership roles.
• Prior exposure to private equity, infrastructure funds, asset management or complex multi‑entity environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Proven experience managing external audits, financial controls and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
