Global Account Manager – Aviation

About the role

You will lead the profitable development of global aviation accounts, positioning DHL as a strategic business partner and delivering agreed programmes across the DHL network. You will also contribute to strategy development, protect and grow account sales, and provide revenue reporting to management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, establish and manage multi‑tier relationships across customer and DHL organisations.
• Drive sales improvement through regionally harmonised processes.
• Ensure clear understanding of customer expectations and requirements.
• Lead and manage customer presentations and proposals.
• Plan and coordinate activities to retain and develop sustainable sales revenue.
• Develop and manage after‑sales strategies for designated accounts.
• Provide customer‑oriented service for sales and expectation issues.
• Contribute to regional bidding or RFQ processes when requested.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in account management/development and consultative/solution‑based sales in a service‑related industry.
• Familiarity with international express, air transportation or aviation industry is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, networking and interpersonal abilities.
• Degree in Business or a related discipline.
