IT Operations Executive

About the role

Open Government Products is seeking an IT Operations Executive on a 1‑year fixed‑term contract to manage the execution layer of its technology services. Reporting to the IT Manager and collaborating with the Workplace team, you will be the first point of contact for all internal IT requests, ensuring staff can get set up quickly and stay productive.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for service‑desk tickets, Slack messages, and email inquiries, triaging and resolving issues such as password resets, MFA problems, and Okta account unlocks.
• Support staff with SaaS access to Google Workspace, 1Password, Slack, Notion and other cloud tools.
• Troubleshoot macOS hardware and software issues, including OS problems, peripheral setup, and AV equipment in meeting rooms.
• Execute onboarding and off‑boarding checklists: device preparation, account creation, device collection, and access revocation.
• Maintain the hardware register, track procurement, warranty status, and coordinate repairs or loaner assignments.
• Create and update Knowledge Base articles, runbooks, and self‑service guides for common issues.

• Strong communication skills to interact clearly with staff and the IT manager.
• Ability to investigate unfamiliar technical problems and learn quickly.
• Detail‑oriented approach to documentation and asset tracking.
