Junior Legal Counsel – Manager Level

About the role

Asia Football Group (AFG) is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel (Manager) to support its commercial and legal activities across AFC competitions. The position will be based in Dubai or Singapore and reports to the VP Legal, working closely with the broader legal team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support for media rights sales, including drafting and negotiating media agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate service provider and supplier contracts for broadcast, digital, operations and commercial delivery.
• Assist other AFG departments with day‑to‑day legal matters covering marketing, digital, events, corporate and employment issues.
• Implement contract management processes, advise on rights, obligations, risk and confidentiality.
• Monitor legal, regulatory and business developments in major Asian markets and advise accordingly.
• Develop pragmatic solutions to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
• Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties such as external counsel and clients.

Required profile

• University degree and a professional qualification that permits the practice of law.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work ethically and maintain integrity in decision‑making.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external partners.

Required skills

• Legal drafting and negotiation of contracts.
• Understanding of media rights and service agreements.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Asian jurisdictions.
