Lead Data Scientist

About the role

Agoda is seeking ambitious and agile data scientists to work on some of the world’s most challenging machine‑learning and big‑data platforms, processing hundreds of billions of events daily and delivering billions of predictions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, experiment and implement models and algorithms to maximize customer experience, supply‑side value, business outcomes, and infrastructure readiness.
• Mine large datasets of hundreds of millions of customers and over 600 M daily events to discover actionable insights.
• Collaborate with developers and business owners to deliver high‑quality results daily.
• Research and prototype new ideas that can improve the product and user experience.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on data science experience.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML/DL, statistics and related open‑source libraries.
• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, PySpark or Scala.
• Ability to lead projects, work independently and communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
