Level 2 IT Support Engineer

About the role

Sopra Steria is seeking a Level 2 IT Support Engineer to provide technical assistance for a key client in the aerospace industry. You will work closely with Level 1 teams, end‑users, and specialist groups to ensure smooth operation of hardware, software and connectivity services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for incidents and service requests escalated from Level 1.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS and network issues.
• Configure, deploy, maintain and recover end‑user devices, including imaging and software installation.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and group memberships following approved procedures.
• Investigate recurring incidents, contribute to root‑cause analysis and participate in problem‑management activities.
• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records, supporting audits and reconciliations.
• Create and update knowledge‑base articles, troubleshooting guides and operating procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Level 2 end‑user support, handling hardware, software, OS and connectivity incidents.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 suite, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Familiarity with device imaging, configuration and routine software deployments.
