Maintenance Technician

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at KONE you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of elevators and escalators by delivering high‑quality service to customers on site. You will act as the main point of contact for site representatives and end‑users, providing clear communication and proactive support.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellent customer relationships through timely communication, call‑out ETA updates, job debriefs and proactive service recommendations.
• Execute planned maintenance, emergency call‑outs and 24/7 service repairs while adhering to schedules, quality standards and safety procedures.
• Ensure a safe working environment, identify high‑risk situations, apply escalation procedures and report near‑miss incidents.
• Plan workload in coordination with the supervisor, manage proximity stock, and keep service tools, van and instruments in good condition.
• Provide accurate real‑time reporting of work performed and materials used to support invoicing and customer communication.
• Identify service repair opportunities and generate sales leads where applicable.
• Contribute feedback for continuous improvement of products, methods and safety.
