Site Engineer – Material Handling Systems

About the role

Supervise the installation and alignment of conveyor systems, material handling equipment and associated electromechanical components for BEUMER Group projects in Singapore and across the Asia region.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the installation and alignment of conveyor systems, material handling equipment and associated electromechanical components, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
• Ensure all paperwork, hours and actions are documented accurately according to company procedures.
• Review site installations for quality, confirming that equipment is level, aligned, cleaned and completed to the highest detail.
• Protect customer property by handling materials with care and overseeing safe work practices.
• Train and coordinate crews, subcontractors, electricians and safety officers to maintain technical standards.
• Close out installations and service work promptly, managing punch‑list resolution to customer satisfaction.
• Visit sites daily to monitor progress, interface with leads, customers and third parties, and solve problems together with design engineers.
• Provide daily to weekly progress reports to management.

Required profile

• ITE (NITEC) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Willingness to travel within the Asia region and occasional trips to Europe or the Middle East.
• At least five years of hands‑on site experience with material handling systems such as conveyors, baggage handling or sortation equipment.
• Strong understanding of construction and engineering projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, conflict management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts and circuit diagrams.
