Manufacturing Engineer – Process (Singapore)

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer (Process) will support Abbott's Singapore nutrition plant by leading equipment and process projects, ensuring high quality and cost‑effective production for both new and existing products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects related to manufacturing equipment design and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Plan, develop, implement and maintain manufacturing methods, processes and operations.
• Optimize use of materials, equipment and personnel to produce quality products at effective cost.
• Ensure adherence to corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
• Initiate technical activities that lead to new or improved products and processes.
• Prepare reports, present findings and partner with Engineering on equipment installation, modification, upgrades and maintenance.
• Document and maintain controlled, repeatable production processes.
• Create and update equipment and process operating procedures for manufacturing staff.
• Develop and execute qualification and validation protocols.
• Lead qualification and validation activities and collaborate with other departments and suppliers to resolve root‑cause issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of SAP systems and project management principles.
• Ability to make fast decisions and react efficiently to changing situations.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
