Manufacturing Operator – Salts

About the role

The Manufacturing Operator (Salts) is responsible for executing the production plan, operating assigned processing and packaging equipment, and supporting product quality, safety, and efficiency targets. The role involves handling raw materials, performing equipment change‑overs, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Key responsibilities

• Operate processing and packaging equipment according to SOPs and manuals.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation of equipment following GMP standards.
• Inspect raw materials and ensure they meet specifications for salts and dry‑part concentrates.
• Move raw materials and batch concentrates using fork trucks or pallet stackers.
• Execute product and package change‑overs.
• Use SAP for order transactions, goods receipt, and inventory management.
• Follow safe operation of dust collection systems and other safety precautions.
• Carry out basic equipment care, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
• Apply 5S, visual management updates, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) practices.
• Maintain health and safety standards and complete required documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC certification or equivalent (preferred).
• At least 3 years of technical experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Basic working knowledge of production operations and GMP.
• Ability to follow safe work practices, PPE requirements, and chemical storage procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of processing and packaging equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
• Fork‑truck or pallet‑stacker operation.
• Use of SAP applications.
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food‑safety hygiene.
• Knowledge of 5S methodology and visual management.
• Safe operation of dust‑collection systems.
