Manufacturing Test Technician (MDP MF)

About the role

As a Manufacturing Test Technician you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, repairing and testing multimillion‑dollar display and wafer‑fabrication equipment. The role involves handling electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies and ensuring they meet stringent quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair and test equipment.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs under moderate supervision.
• Receive parts, conduct audits to verify availability and inspect for defects, and suggest process improvements.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Document progress, labor and expense details; execute computer programming, repairs or software installations when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of experience in the semiconductor or display industry, or comparable experience in a related field or the military.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical assembly and repair.
• Troubleshooting of electrical, vacuum and pneumatic systems.
• Use of electronic measurement equipment.
• Leak detection and vacuum pump operation.
• Reading and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Basic computer programming and software installation for equipment.
