Material Analysis Engineer

About the role

The Material Analysis Engineer will support semiconductor manufacturing by performing comprehensive testing and analysis of materials. This role involves preparing samples, operating advanced instrumentation, and developing robust characterization protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct material testing and analysis to evaluate physical, chemical, and mechanical properties for semiconductor applications.
• Prepare samples and operate SIMS, TEM, and FIB equipment for detailed analysis.
• Develop and implement material characterization protocols and testing methodologies.
• Perform EDX and EELS analyses to assess material composition.
• Execute failure analysis and root‑cause investigations for material defects or performance issues.
• Participate in 6S, ESH maintenance, equipment upkeep, and new technology development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in a semiconductor environment.
• Strong knowledge of materials characterization techniques and mechanical testing methods.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to data accuracy.
• Solid understanding of material properties, failure modes, and performance evaluation criteria.
• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Willingness to work on shifts.
