Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Nebius is building next‑generation, high‑density data centre infrastructure across APAC. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will own the mechanical design lifecycle, from concept review to detailed development, ensuring our facilities meet the demanding requirements of GPU‑driven AI workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Review internal and third‑party mechanical design packages for data centre projects.
• Develop mechanical solutions for high‑density, GPU‑focused data centres.
• Evaluate air‑cooled and liquid‑cooled architecture options.
• Coordinate with electrical, construction, commissioning and operations teams.
• Assess designs for maintainability, resilience, capacity and compliance with Nebius standards.
• Support design reviews covering power density, airflow, cooling capacity and operational readiness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data centre mechanical design.
• Strong understanding of mission‑critical mechanical systems.
• Hands‑on experience with air‑cooled data centre design.
• Ability to evaluate mechanical capacity, flow calculations and design assumptions.
• Skilled at reviewing design documents, technical proposals and partner deliverables.
• Excellent communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Broad engineering ownership mindset rather than a narrow specialty.
