Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Design Engineer will create and modify mechanical and system designs for aviation projects, ensuring compliance with relevant authorities. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams and may include presenting designs to customers and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Generate mechanical and system designs required for project deliverables.
• Ensure modification designs meet requirements of aviation authorities.
• Perform simple analyses to substantiate design decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines to optimise designs within project schedules.
• Deliver presentations on modification designs to customers and aviation authorities as needed.
• Support aircraft prototyping, production activities, and technical publication efforts.

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Practical experience supporting airframe modification projects and composite structures (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Self‑motivated team player capable of independent work.
• Eligibility to work in Singapore (Singaporeans only).

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Knowledge of CREO for 3D modelling and 2D drawings.
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
